Armando Santiago Navarrete

Armando has lived in San Blas since the age of four. Early in his career, he was a commercial fisherman and later led sport-fishing tours. In the early 70's, he began guiding bird watchers and has since become a local expert on the birds of this area. In addition to leading birding tours, he is active in local education, conservation, and research.

San Blas is located in the Mexican state of Nayarit approximately 120 miles (200 km) north of Puerto Vallarta. Most international travelers fly into Puerto Vallarta. Once there you can either rent a car and drive north or catch one of the public buses headed for San Blas.
