San Blas offers much more than just wonderful birding. I can also be your guide for many other activities. Let me know what you are interested in, and I will build a custom tour just for you.

Fishing

Fishing is good year round. There is a reef that we can reach in 50 minutes where you can catch Sierra Mackrel, Skip Jack Tuna, Jack -Crevalle and some times Red Snapper. This trip lasts approximately five hours and costs US$200 for up to four people.

Deep sea fishing is available as a seven hour trip where we try for Sailfish and Dorado (Mahi Mahi). This excursion costs US$250 for up to four people.

Whale Watching

December to March is the best time to see whales. During that time, there is a chance to see Humpback Whales, Whale Sharks, Bottle Nose Dolphins, and Pan-tropical Spotted Dolphins. Tours last approximately four hours and cost US$200 for up to four people.

Isla Isabel

This small island is known as the small Galapagos because thousands of birds nest there; mainly Frigates, Brown and Blue-footed Boobies, Brown Noddies, Bridled Terns, and Brown Pelicans.

The island is about a mile long and around it is the best snorkling if people bring their own gear (no place to refill diving tanks). In 3 feet of water you can see Surgeon Fish, Trumpet Fish, Parrot Fish, Needle Fish, Eels, Sea Urchins and more.

It takes about 2 1/2 hours to cover the 42 nautical miles from San Blas. We can stay over night or longer if people bring camping gear and we take enough food and water. Transporation cost is US$500 per trip and US$120 for each extra day. You must provide your own gear and food.

Language Lessons

If you would like the opportunity to learn or add to your knowlege of Spanish, I can work with you as a group or an individual. For groups of up to four people, the cost is US$30/hour. For individuals, it is US$12/hr. This can be combined with any other activities to make a fun learning experience for the whole family.
